1952 NASA & Titusville Beach Maps

The area in the 1952 map shows the buildings that were along the beach area south of Playalinda Beach. The NASA map shows the landmarks in red that existed prior to 1960. Its hard to realize that people lived in that area. The Rt. 401 was the road that I traveled to work in my early days with Martin on Complex 19 and Complex 20. The early Cape workers stopped after work at a store called Merrifields's for a "cold one" for the drive back to Titusville. Marrifields was just north of De Soto Beach.
