The Kiwanis are having a luncheon with Bob as their featured speaker. Bob will be talking about his experiences as a painter and wood carver. He will also be giving a mini whittling demonstration. Special Internet Marketing Opportunity for TAL Members

The Internet is a very powerful resource that lets people know about our activities. Our website was used about 400 times in February '08 by people seeking information about TAL meetings, classes and exhibits.

We are offering active TAL members an opportunity to have an inexpensive ($25.00/year) webpage on our website to promote your medium(s) and work. The webpage consists of up to 4 graphics and up to 400 words to describe your offerings and how to obtain your services. You need not even own a computer to take advantage of this (though it can help).

Bob Paty BRPPaty@aol.com (267-5546) will be coordinating this for us together ith our webmaster, Dave Rich. You will submit your text to Bob, preferably in a text document, but OK if just clearly handwritten; together with photographs of your work (can include yourself), preferably in digital format, or as actual photographs. For those of you who don't have photos, Bob will arrange for you to have your art work at the Draa Road offices on a specific date for him to take the photos.

By having your personal webpage on our community directory, people will be able to find you on Google and Yahoo!, as well on our website. We hope that many of our members will take advantage of this offer - just contact Bob.

***NATURE LOVERS***

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
proudly to presents a three man nature photography exhibit that depicts the natural landscapes and wildlife of Brevard County. Nature photographers, Thomas Dunkerton, Joel Reynolds and Bob Paty will exhibit their photographs at the Merritt Island NWR Visitor Center through August 2008. Exhibit viewing is during the regular Visitor Center operating hours.

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary
is currently showing a collection of paintings by featured artist Kevin Scufelt who specializes in color micro photography. His show runs July 1st to August 31st. Please call Joanie Faull at the Enchanted Forest at 321.264.5185 for more details.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER that keeps members current on all TAL events, art opportunities, and community events of artistic interest.	MONTHLY MEETINGS The 3rd Wednesday each month at 6:45 pm, features live demonstrations in a different media.
TWO ART SHOWS A YEAR Spring Art Show (Major cash award event) and Member-only events.	ROTATING COMMUNITY EXHIBIT at many locations including government offices as well as private businesses.
DISCOUNTS on art supplies at various places.	DISCOUNTS on workshops and seminars sponsored by TAL, Inc. featuring nationally known artists.
FRIDAY OPEN STUDIO for artists from 10:00 to 3:00. Participants find friendly atmosphere where there is room and time to get something done. Each person pays a dollar per hour to defray the cost of utilities. Go out to lunch or contribute to the take out order kitty.
Artist the Month encourages members to create something new each month or enter past pieces that are judged by the members at each meeting. The winner's piece is displayed in the foyer of the TAL building.
