Advice on entering a Juried Show

Enter your best painting, sculpture,pottery photography, ect....

Choose your art work with an effective design and contrast.

Avoid complicated or subtle images

Make sure the work is technically top-notch

Look for art work with a unique subject matter or one that treats the ordinary in an extrordinary manner.

Choose your art work with a subject that moves you and stirs your emotion

Make sure the your work offers something special in terms of vision, attitude or exploration of color

Never select a work with the hope of impressing a juror or judge.

If your work is a painting, avoid extreme size.

If your art work is a painting, Have it professionally and simply framed.

Stay away from any art work that clearly show the influence of other artists.
