2008 Summer programsTitusville PAL (Titusville) - Titusville PAL is in full action with its summer activities. We encourage all youth that would like to participate in positive fun activities that include both sports and education. "We are excited about our summer programs. The Board and Staff of Titusville PAL understand that to Fill Playgrounds and Not Prisons it is necessary to have continuous activities year round that are assessable and available to all youth," said Cheryl Lawson-Young, PAL's new Program Director.Below are the Summer Fun Activities for 2008
Titusville PALThe Titusville Police Athletic League is a cooperative effort of the Titusville Police Department, a volunteer board of directors, business and citizens. PAL is funded by public contributions and governed by the volunteer Board of Directors. Money raised by PAL is used to run programs for the youth who participate.PAL provides an avenue for participation for many youth, who would not otherwise be able to participate in organized athletics. PAL was organized with sports as the primary focus. The idea was and still is to use sports as an avenue to reach children who need positive values in their lives. Living in an ever-changing world PAL has now added a Youth Enrichment Center. Our job is to help shape the youth of today, which will have a direct affect on the future of tomorrow. Why PAL instead of some other activity group? PAL has police officers in your community showing the youth that they care, they are human, and are willing to help them. PAL provides a safe place for kids from 7-18 to play, socialize and learn. Among our programs are:
Programs are all available so we invite you to stop in and visit the administrative office to discuss which PAL program would work best for your child The Executive Officer of PAL or one of the staff members will be glad to help you and answer any questions you may have. Become a Titusville PAL Volunteer!Titusville PAL has many opportunities for volunteers to help build character in young people through our youth leagues in , all our programs. And best of all, you do not need any sports experience because we offer sport specific training. You need only meet the following criteria:
