Canaveral National Seashore invites the public to join one of the many ranger led programs offered in the upcoming weeks. All programs are subject to the availability of a ranger. Programs cancelled fifteen minutes after the start time if no public is present. Children between the ages of 6 through 12 attending park programs may have the opportunity to become Junior Rangers. PONTOON BOAT CRUISE:
THE BACKWATERS OF MOSQUITO LAGOON

Take a journey with a National Park Ranger on a visit to the colorful places that lend character to this vital estuary. Our pontoon boat Tortuga del Sol is lead by licensed captains and experienced mates. On this tour the captain will provide you with a memorable and safe park water tour. Bring sunscreen and water. Join us for a two-hour journey as we cruise from the Visitor Center on most weekends, weather permitting. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED and SPACE IS LIMITED. A cost recovery fee of $20.00 per person is charged for all passengers. Senior pass and Access pass holders receive 50 % off.

SATURDAY EACH WEEK
Why is Turtle Mound Here? - 10:00 AM
Walk with a ranger to the top of Turtle Mound. Discover the history of the mound and understand how, why and when the Timucuan Indians built this historic mound. We will place the Timucuan people in Florida's History and explore their lifestyle. Bring water and bug spray.
Meet at the Turtle Mound parking lot. (1 hour)

SUNDAY EACH WEEK
"Eldora Recognition and Memory" - 1:00 PM
Tour Eldora State House with a Ranger and experience the hopes and dreams of the founders of the Eldora community.
Park at parking lot 8 and meet in the Eldora House. Bring water and bug spray. (45 minutes)

"SEA TURTLE UPDATE"
Friday 6th - 10:00 AM
Join a park ranger to learn about the nesting sea turtles of Canaveral National Seashore. Discuss the nest numbers and the turtles that nest here.
Meet at the Visitor Center. Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. (1 hour)

"WASH BACK WALK"
Saturday 14th - 10:00 AM
Walk with a ranger and learn about the sea turtle's trek to the sea. Along the way learn the correct procedures for rescuing baby sea turtles washed back onto the beach. Learn some tips for finding wash back sea turtles and maybe some beach treasures as well. Bring water and sunscreen. Meet at parking lot one boardwalk A. (1 hour)

"OYSTER MAT MAKING"
Friday 20th - 10:00 AM
Help a ranger assemble oyster mats that replenish the oyster beds of Mosquito Lagoon. Learn about the efforts to preserve the ecosystem of this Estuary of National Significance. Bring water and sunscreen.
Meet at the Visitor Center. (1 hour)

"BEACH WALK"
Sunday 22nd & 29th - 10:00AM
Join a park guide as you explore Apollo Beach. Discover the wonderful treasures which can be found if you just look. Hat, sunscreen and water are recommended.
Meet at the visitor center. (1 hour)


PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations, weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or a cost - recovery fee. Call 386-428-3384 est. 10 for program information during operating hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
