Take a leisurely cruise to the places that lend character to this vital estuary on our pontoon boat, Tortuga del Sol. Our licensed captains and experienced mates are trained to provide you with a memorable and safe park water tour. Join us for a two-hour journey as we depart from the Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., weather permitting. (2 hours)RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED and SPACE IS LIMITED. A cost recovery fee of $20.00 per person is charged for all passengers. There is a 50% discount for each holder of Senior or Access passes. Children 15 and under are free. "BIRDERS" PONTOON BOAT TOUR

Take a leisurely cruise from the dock behind the Visitor Center to see the many birds of Canaveral National Seashore. A park guide will be on board to point out different species as they appear. Our comfortable pontoon boat, Tortuga del Sol, and our licensed captains and experienced mates are trained to provide you with a memorable and safe tour. Join us as we depart from the Visitor Center at 10 a.m., weather permitting.

Take a leisurely cruise from the dock behind the Visitor Center to Seminole Rest, where there will be a tour of the historic house. We'll see lots of wildlife and enjoy some of the same views as river steamer passengers saw in the 19th century. Our comfortable pontoon boat, Tortuga del Sol, and our licensed captains and experienced mates are trained to provide you with a memorable and safe tour. Join us as we depart from the Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. weather permitting. (3 hours)

CANOE MOSQUITO LAGOON

WEDNESDAY 2ND, 9TH, 16TH & 30TH , -- 10:00 AM
Reservations will be accepted a week before the canoe date. Join a guide as you explore this rich and diverse estuary up close. Some experience is preferred. You must be at least 8 years old and able to paddle. You must wear covered shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Dress to get wet. Individuals with their own kayaks or canoes are welcome to join in. Call (386) 428-3384 ext. 0 to reserve your spot.

SUNDAY 29TH - 11:00 AM "PINE NEEDLE BASKET WEAVING"
INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS
Learn the ancient art of pine needle basket weaving. This is great for beginners or those looking to brush up on their skills. The materials will be provided, just bring your imagination.

WEDNESDAY 2ND, 9TH, 23RD AND 30TH
INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS
"PLANTS OF THE PARK"
Join us for a series of plant walks to learn how the plants in the park were used by Native Americans and early settlers and see their unique botanical characteristics and areas of adaptation. There will be two walks on the 2nd. The first explores the area around Turtle Mound. Meet at Turtle Mound parking area at 9 AM (1-1/2 hours). The second walk on the 2nd also meets at the Turtle Mound parking area and walks south towards the Visitor Center. (1 hour)
On the 9th, we will explore the plants of Castle Windy. Meet at Parking Lot #3 at 10 AM. (2 hours)
The walk on the 23rd explores Eldora. Meet at 10 AM at Parking Lot #8. (2 hours)
The last hike of the series is on the 30th at 10 AM and also explores the plants of the Eldora area.

"BEACH CLEANUP"
Help keep our beaches clean. Join us to clean Apollo Beach. Bring water, sunscreen, bug repellant, work gloves and a hat. We provide trash bags.

"BEACH WALK"
Discover gifts from the sea on a walk on the shore. We'll look for seashells, driftwood and other wonderful surprises. Be sure to put on sun screen and bring plenty of water.
Meet at Parking Lot #2. (1 hour)THURSDAY 24TH AND 31ST - 11:00 AM
"SPECIES OF THE PARK"
Learn about sea turtles, dolphin and more with an examination of their bones. Bring water and sunscreen.
Meet at the Visitor Center. (1 hour)PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations, weather conditions, or other factors.
