Fox Lake Sanctuary Titusville, Florida
This 2,568 acre Sanctuary was acquired by the Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Program in 2007 for its ecological significance and proximity to other conservation areas. The Sanctuary is located west of Fox Lake Park; the trailhead is located near the park boat ramp.
The Fox Lake Sanctuary trails provide opportunities to visit a variety of habitats including: pine flatwoods, oak scrub, hammocks and depression & freshwater marshes. They support many wildlife species including white-tailed deer, bobcat, Florida scrub-jays, wood storks, and sandhill cranes.
You can enjoy seven miles of hiking, kayaking, horseback riding and mountain biking trails here. A paddling trail is also available through the waters of Fox Lake and South Lake. Youth camping can be arranged in a prepared area. Fox Lake Park is open from 7:am to dark.

BE PREPARED
- All trails are natural surface wilderness trails complete with bumps, roots and soft sand
- Trails are marked with yellow diamonds. Trail maps are located at major intersections.
- Always let someone know where and when you are hiking!
- It is a good idea to bring a cell phone, water, sunscreen and bug repellant.
- And, why not take a camera so you can bring home memories to share.
- The Sanctuary is wild woods. It is a sanctuary to many wild flora & fauna that you will enjoy.
- It is also home to stinging insects, snakes and poisonous plants. Please stay on marked trails.
