This historical marker is to honor Mr. & Mrs. Moore who were leading civil rights activists in Brevard County and the State of Florida during the 1930's and 1940's and up until their death on Christmas night in 1951 when a bomb was exploded under their home.
Brevard County Parks & Recreation Department received a $787.00 grant from the Florida Department of State, Bureau of Historic Preservation, and Division of Historical Resources for the purchase of the marker. The grant required a 50% match which came from the Brevard County Parks & Recreation Budget.
