Canaveral National Seashore to Resume Longer Summer Hours
Beginning Sunday, March 20, 2016, Canaveral National Seashore will once again implement extended summer hours, which are from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm. Previously, operating hours had been cut back due to flat budgets and increasing fixed costs. With the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, the agency received an increase in operating budgets that will allow Canaveral National Seashore to restore its previous operating hours.Superintendent Myrna Palfrey, along with park staff are very pleased to welcome park visitors and encourage everyone to enjoy and care for Canaveral National Seashore as we embark on our next 100 years. Stay tuned for Centennial Celebrations in the seashore throughout the year.
