40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORECanaveral National Seashore wishes to invite you to celebrate 40 years at "Your National Seashore". On January 5, 1975, Canaveral National Seashore was established by Congress as a national park, to protect and preserve and provide for the use of the outstanding resources found within its boundaries.
On January 3, 2015, at the Apollo Beach Visitor Center, 7611 S Atlantic Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169, we will have a celebration of the seashore that will include special guest speakers, free pontoon boat tours, special seashore programs and other surprises.
Also as part of our celebration, the seashore will host an art exhibit for the whole month of January, also in the Visitor Center. The art will showcase works from New Smyrna Beach Middle School's Stingray Art program, under the direction of Samantha Hughes.
Please help us celebrate your Canaveral National Seashore. Program begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015, with our special guest speakers, and activities continued throughout the day.
