CLOSURES FOR SHUTTLE LAUNCH
CONTACT: 321-267-1110 Eric LugoIn compliance with NASA directives Canaveral National Seashore at Playalinda Beach in Brevard County will close at 6:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2006 in preparation for the planned December 7th shuttle launch.
In addition, parking lot #5 at Apollo Beach has been closed to vehicles and boats. Visitors are allowed up to parking area # 4, which is the road turn around point due to security measures in place to protect NASA camera equipment.
The above closures will remain in effect until the day after a successful launch. Please note that all dates and closure periods are tentative, and may be modified or extended by NASA.
