Coastal Poodle Rescue rehabilitates unwanted, abused and abandoned poodles and then places them in loving and responsible homes to live out their lives as cherished family members.
What We Do
Unlike shelter or kennel living, fostering in a home environment allows the personal evaluation of each dog for behavior and temperament issues. We learn how our dogs react to other animals, children or strangers.
You Can Help by Fostering a Poodle
Our generous foster volunteers keep the rescued poodles until the best possible permanent homes can be found for them.

How We Do It
IT'S A GOLF TOURNAMENT, SCRAMBLE FORMAT, TO BENEFIT ABUSED, NEGLECTED AND ABANDONED POODLES AND POODLE MIXES.Coastal Poodle Rescue, Inc. will be having their 2nd annual PUTTING FOR POODLES, golf tournament on Saturday, September 03, 2005 at The Great Outdoors Golf Club in Titusville, FL. It will be a 4-person team scramble format, shot gun start at 8:30 AM with a luncheon to follow. Cost per player will be $65.00 and will include round of golf, cart, drawing and awards lunch.
Coastal Poodle Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer, organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of abused, neglected and abandoned poodles and poodle mixes. Our mission is to rescue dogs in need of help, have them treated for any medical problems, spayed, neutered and brought up to date on all vaccines. The dogs are placed in foster homes until a suitable forever home is found for each dog. We service the entire east coast of Florida over to the middle of the state. This is not an easy task and is very expensive. Our volunteers give as much as they can in monetary resources and time, but it is never enough.
Our organization began March 1, 2004 when a small group of volunteers on the east coast who were previously part of a state wide organization decided we could better serve the dogs in our area by forming a new organization on this coast. We have saved more than 275 dogs since March 1, 2004 with over 220 of those dogs being placed in permanent homes. The others are in foster care waiting for the right home to be found. Every week we get more dogs into our system. We depend solely on donations to pay for the expenses of these dogs.
We are requesting sponsor help as follows: As a GOLD SPONSOR, your LOGO sign will be placed at a hole and includes entry fee for a 4-person team for $350.00 As a SILVER SPONSOR, your LOGO sign will be placed at a hole and includes entry fee for 2 people for $225.00. As a regular hole SPONSOR, your LOGO sign will be placed at a hole for $100.00 (without team participation).
Anyone not wanting to be a hole sponsor, can give a gift certificate or some item as a prize for the golf match? We will also have a Silent Auction to raise funds for our cause and items are needed for this event. Whatever anyone can give will be greatly appreciated and will be used for the sole purpose of paying medical bills and other necessities for the poodles.
Donations or team entry for this event can be mailed to Coastal Poodle Rescue, c/o Joe Prine, 1593 Stafford Ave, Merritt Island, FL 32952. We will be happy to pick up any donations from your place of business. Just call us at 321/459-2652 or 321-453-1617.
