North Brevard Mural Society Continues To Make News! For immediate release: ( November 13, 2015 - Titusville, FL) North Brevard Mural Society has commissioned Keith Goodson for its second mural. Painting of this two story mural begins on November 16th. It will be painted at 410 S. Hopkins Ave (aka southbound US 1) on the Kayaks by Bo building, owned by Tom and Lyn Altif. A generous donation from Donna Cox, a local hometown Realtor, made this possible. Another local building owner, Nancy Abner, is housing our artist. The Altif's have also contributed financially and donated their 22 ft by 36 ft south wall for the large scale mural. While Keith Goodson is painting, the NBMS welcomes the public to stop by and watch as he transforms the wall to art, depicting the Merritt Island Refuge and its wildlife. Kayaking, endangered species and our world famous redfish are featured. Mayor Jim Tulley and Chairperson Luann Malark 11-12-15 The Society plans to have "Lunch with the Artist" as a fundraiser while Keith is painting. The date is yet to be announced but local restaurants have agreed to help with this event. Meanwhile, at the former Astronaut Trail Post Office's location 5 Main Street, local artist, Terrence Cope, has the mural entitled "Space and Time Capsule" almost completed. This mural was fully sponsored by Reva Harris, owner of the building, and Brevard Real Estate Services. Join others who drive, bike, or walk by to watch the daily transformation. Mayor Jim Tulley attended the Society's kickoff event on November 5th and donated to the NBMS. He was the lucky recipient of the framed first print of the mural from the drawing and states he will donate it to the City of Titusville to be displayed prominently for all to enjoy. Mayor Tulley stopped by to check on Terrence Cope's progress and was presented his print by Chairperson Luann Malark on behalf of the organization. The North Brevard Mural Society is proud of its progress and private funding. The NBMS is working with potential sponsors and building owners for future murals.
