- Free Wii! Play Nintendo Wii, fun for all ages. We have bowling, pool, boxing, and more!
August, 2010
Mondays & Thursdays
- Dance Lady: Cathy Johnson, teaches line dancing on Mondays, 10am - noon and on Thursdays, 1pm-3pm. Fee is $4 ($3 for senior citizens). Please call her at 269-3082 to sign up for the class.
Wednesdays
- Beginning Computer Classes: an introduction to computers available on Wednesday mornings. The class is taught in a series four sessions, each covering a different topic and building on the skills taught at the previous session. Cost is $5 per session. Call for details and to register as space is limited.

Thursday, August 5 -- 6pm-7:30pm
- Acrylic Painting Class taught by Pat Urbano. A sample of this month's project may be seen at the library. Cost is $10 and includes instruction and all supplies. Please call to register.

- Critters, Cow, & Cowboys: A Photographic Exploration into the Wildlife and Work of a Florida Cattle Ranch by Bob Montanaro, the administrative assistant for the Pelican Island Audubon Society. He illustrates the critical role ranches play in protecting Florida_s diverse habitats and wildlife species. Additionally, the program reveals what a year of work is like on a Florida cattle ranch---from the stereotypical images of cowboys on horseback herding cattle to the more realistic hot and dusty workday spent on foot moving cattle individually through the cow pens for vet checkups and myriad other activities. Program is free.
Monday, August 23 -- 2pm
- Grow Your Own Fruit: Learn about some of the many fruit crops that can be grown in Brevard County. Cost is $5 for the class. Please call to register.
Monday, August 30 -- 2pm
- Stormwater 101 Elizabeth Melvin of the Brevard County Natural Resources Management Office will outline actions residents can take to minimize stormwater pollution. She will provide an overview of how stormwater pollution affects water quality, what water quality standards are required by the Clean Water Act for the Indian River Lagoon, and what local governments are doing to improve water quality in the Indian River Lagoon and St. Johns River. Program is free.
