Arsenic and Old Lace, a classic comedy by Joseph Kesselring, has been a favorite of audiences since its opening in 1941. Based on the plot of two charming elderly ladies who simply wish to help lonely, old gentlemen move joyously from this world to the next, Arsenic and Old Lace became very famous in 1944 with the release of Frank Capra's movie version starring Cary Grant. Theatre goers can enjoy this classic at the Titusville Playhouse on May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, and 17. Friday and Saturday productions begin at 8:00 and Sunday matinees are at 2:00.
Call today to reserve your tickets at 268-1125.
Tickets: $14.00 Orchestra — $12.00 Balcony.
The Titusville production promises to be a real hit with the audiences and features performances by Mary Ann Jameson as Aunt Abby and Nancy Speno as Aunt Martha. Joining them on stage in the roles of the nephews are Matthew Blue (Mortimer), Jim Nordby (Jonathan), and J.J. Curtis (Teddy). Other cast members include Amanda Japp (Elaine), Jim Wolford (Dr. Einstein), Michael Renninger (Officer Brophy), Tom Lelle (Officer Klein), Jonathan Hilliard (Lt. Rooney), Randall Franz (Officer O'Hara), Richard Nottingham (Rev. Harper), and Bob Barrows (Witherspoon) plus various "gentlemen" known throughout Titusville who make guest appearances as one of the elderly gentlemen.

Hilarious Melodrama -- The entertainment begins on the sidewalk and continues through the front door of the theatre in the redecorated lobby. You will think you stepped back in time as you are greeted by local cowboys and cowgirls.
While being entertained by singers, watching a bevy of beauties doing the Can-Can or being chases by wild cowboys and showgirls, stay ready to dodge a flurry of bullets and one liners in the lobby of the Roaring Gulch Hotel where our hero, Harry Heartstone, goes in hot pursuit of the evil villain, Snipe Vermin. In classic melodramatic style the plot thickens as other colorful characters enter the story.

A story of unspeakable horror, it begins when a young governess arrives at an English estate to oversee two precocious, orphaned youngsters. There's also a motherly cook. But these four aren't alone. They're haunted by fears and phantoms and ghastly shadows. The governess and cook are terrified, but the children seem to welcome the visitations. The governess learns that the spirits are those of the former caretaker and former governess, who together corrupted the souls of the innocents. In a final scene, full of fear and terror, the evil and the innocents become inseparable.
Opening night for The Innocents will be September 28 and the show will run three weekends until October 13. Friday and Saturday night shows start at 8pm and Sunday matinees are at 2pm.
