AUDITION SCHEDULE

Director: Jeanine Henry

Jeanine Henry returned last year as Director of the Rising Stars program, having led the program from 1995-1997. Most recently, from 2000-2006, she has been the Director of the Jr. Players and the Jr. Players Traveling Troupe. Previously she was the Director of Theater Arts at Brevard Community College. She holds an M.A. in Theatre Arts from FSU and a B.A., with honors, in theatre from Agnes Scott College.

She has an extensive list of acting and directing experiences in Atlanta and here in Brevard County. Some of the characters she has played are Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Meg in Crimes of the Heart, Anita in West Side Story, and, on our main stage in 2006, Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire.

In just one year she has made the Rising Stars program her own. She has added a Rising Stars show in Emma's Attic to perform at the Florida Theatre Conference. We are looking forward to our theatre students performing there. The Rising Stars have also had great fun with Night of Improv in Emma's Attic. This will be the second year a group of student actors, ranging from 7th to 12th grades, perform this variety of creative, high energy theatre games and improvisations.
