Space Museum hosts STEAM SATURDAYS at the US Space Walk of Fame Museum 308 Pine Street, Titusville, FL 32796

 

SCIENCE August 29 - 12:30-4:30pm - Students will explore the size of the Solar System through hands on activities and NASA mission data. TECHNOLOGY  September 19 - 12:30-4:30pm - Students will design and test technology that is used on the International Space Station. ENGINEERING October 17 - 12:30-4:30pm - Students will use the engineering design process to build, test, and analyze the effectiveness of ablative heat shields. ART November 21 -12:30-4:30pm - Students will learn about the importance of art used in mission emblems dating back to Project Mercury through today and will design their own mission emblem. MATH December 12 (changed from the 5th) - 12:30-4:30pm - Students will investigate space scientists and engineers use math to explore space. Activities are appropriate for students in grades 3-5, and linked to the Florida Standards for 5th grade science. Cost is $30 per session, save by signing up for all five sessions $125. Each session is limited to 20 students.
