Please enjoy a walking tour of the historic downtown commercial district. Twenty-four historic buildings on South Washington Ave and Main Street in downtown Titusville are included in a National Register of Historic Places commercial district. The buildings date from circa 1888 until the collapse of the Florida land boom in 1926 and include a variety of architectural styles such as Beaux Arts and Mission, but the predominant designs are simple masonry vernacular. Titusville was designated a Florida Main Street City in 1989. Participation in this highly successful program is helping to bring about the historic preservation and economic revitalization of downtown. Downtown Titusville is BUILDING ON HISTORY.
