Placing of the Flags Ceremony

Placing of the Flags ceremony will be at Historic LaGrange Church and Cemetery, Saturday May, 19th ­ Armed Forces Day. A service of remembrance will begin at 10:00 inside the church.

Cub Scout pack, troop and crew #700 will participate again this year. They have been involved with placing the flags on veteran's graves at Historic LaGrange Cemetery since 1998. We now have over 250 veterans buried at LaGrange Cemetery, beginning with the War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish American War, WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm.

We are very happy to say we have new flags this year due to a generous donation from an "angel." Many of the ornaments that were handmade and gifted to the people who attended the special Christmas Remembered programs at LaGrange Church for several years were "purchased" by the donation. They were all from the LaGrange Christmas Collection.

The public is invited to attend, especially those who have loved ones that served our Country and are buried at LaGrange Cemetery. Placing of the Flags will follow immediately after the services inside the church. Lists of veterans and locations will be provided with the flags.
