Once a year we have an opportunity to support our museum in a BBQ fund raising event. This year your support is especially important because of the increase in insurance premiums and the additional cost due to the termite problem at the museum.
In order to help make it successful we will be sponsoring a "silent auction" during the BBQ event. We are asking you to consider donating items with retail values of $10.00 or more (preferably new or like new condition.)
Some of you have a reputation of making wonderful pies and cakes. We will consider a limited number of pies and cakes for auction also (no brownies or cookies please).
I participated in one "silent auction" that only lasted for 2 hours and our profit was well over a $1,000.00.
The "silent auction" will start at 11:00 am and will close at 2:00 pm with the winners to be announced at 2:30 pm. Persons with a winning bid do not have to be present at the announcement of the winners.
Thanks for your support of this worthwhile cause. We appreciate your support in the past of our museum and look forward to many more successful years.
