Several students from the local area high schools, spent much of their summer working at Canaveral National Seashore, as part of a partnership program between the high schools and the National Park Service. The students included Alexis Cruz, Heather Cipolletti, James Payton, Desiree Martinez, Krystal Osborne, Brian Colabella, James Edwards, Sarah Martinez, Adam McKnight, and Sharhonda Simmons. Leaders for the program included Haley Hartmen and Bill Johnston.
The students were involved in several projects that included resource management, and maintenance. Additionally, the programs help to benefit the park and its management goals.
