Boardwalk Closures
Canaveral National Seashore has begun routine construction to rehabilitate two key public access points in both districts of the seashore. Beginning April 18, 2015, the west end of the Eddy Creek parking area, in the Playalinda district will be closed to accommodate the construction contract. The east end of Eddy Creek parking areas will remain open during this project and available for continued public enjoyment.Construction is also set to continue on the boardwalk of parking area #5 in the Apollo district of the seashore. This last phase of replacement is expected to last 10 to 12 weeks. Parking area #5 of the Apollo district will be closed beginning April 20, 2015 and remain closed until construction is complete.
