CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE AND MERRITT ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
On Monday, June 25th, Canaveral National Seashore and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge will host a group of students from the 83rd Annual LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) Convention & Exposition. The event is being held at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The group will consist of upper high school and college level students that have expressed interest in careers with Federal Land management agencies.
TO HOST LULAC FIELD TRIP TO THE SEASHORE AND REFUGE
MONDAY, JUNE 25, 2012The National Park Service and United States Fish and Wildlife Service will conduct the tour with stops at areas in both the refuge and the seashore. Staff from both agencies will interact with the students and explore the importance of Latino youth involvement, engagement in parks and outdoor recreation, environmental stewardship to a wide variety of habitat and various careers in these fields.
