CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE
TO CLOSE FOR ENDEAVOR LAUNCH

In compliance with NASA directives, Canaveral National Seashore at Playalinda Beach in Brevard County will close at 6:00 pm on April 25, 2011, in preparation for the April 29th Endeavour Shuttle Launch STS-134.

In addition, NASA camera installation security measures require that parking lot number 5 at Apollo Beach (located in Volusia County) be closed to vehicles and boats beginning on April 22, 2011. While this section is closed, visitors will not be permitted beyond parking area #4.

Both of these closures will remain in effect until the day after a successful launch. All dates and times are tentative, and are subject to revision or extension by NASA. Please call (321) 867-4077 for recorded park status updates.
