R. G. Evans entertains
Join the Festival crew and your fellow birders and bring your friends and family for a relaxing afternoon at Fox Lake Park.

You can meander over to the lake and see a familiar bird or two making themselves at home in this beautiful natural setting. R.G.Evans will entertain you with some familiar toe-tapping music and sentimental songs.

Working to preserve earth's diversity

After a great meal complete with scrumptious seafood from Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant and delicious Southern Bar-B-Q with all the fixings served by the gang from Hot Stuff Catering, you can settle in for an outstanding Keynote Presentation by John Acorn, who is perhaps best known as the writer and host of the Canadian television series Acorn, The Nature Nut, a family-oriented, how-to-be-a-naturalist show. John's presentation, "Field Notes: An Odd Form of Self -helpTherapy," takes a humorous look at the somewhat serious subject of keeping a detailed personal journal. Do you keep field notes? Life lists, local lists, year lists, winter lists or yard lists? Learn how keeping a journal can help you manage your own experience and avoid the pitfalls that come with letting the lists, and the birds you "need" control your time in the field.

Jan 27, 1:30pm-5:30pm; $20.00 per person; $5.00 for children under 12
**Keynote presentation only: $10.00

Enjoying the Keynote speaker at the Sunday Social. Menu: BBQ pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, cold slaw, rolls and Hot Stuff's famous seven-layer cookies.
