Guided Sea Turtle Watch Programs
in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge

Offered in June and July only
9:00 pm – Midnight
Reservations required by calling (321) 984-4852.

Program Description:

Sea turtle watch programs begin with an educational program about Florida's sea turtles and sea turtle nesting on the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge. Following, participants are given the opportunity to view a Loggerhead sea turtle nesting on the beach. These educational programs are conducted under a state permit and should not be attempted without a state permitted guide.

What to expect:

Be able to walk up to a mile on the beach. Bring insect spray to repel mosquitoes. The entire program lasts an average of 3-hours, therefore, you may want to bring a bottle of water. Because of the late program time and the potentially long walk on the beach, this program is not recommended for very young children, the elderly or disabled. Flashlights, flash photography and filming are not permitted.
