IMPORTANT CITY COUNCIL MEETING

On Tuesday, May 23rd the Titusville City Council will consider the Comprehensive Land Use Plan amendment presented by the Paradise Development Group and Space Coast Petro Distributors, Inc. that would lead to development of land west of Spring Valley. While it does not appear the Spring Valley will be directly affected, our residents are asked to support concerns of The Hamlet where entrances to the new development are planned. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

TITUSVILLE CITIZENS ACTION COMMITTEE MEETING

Daphney and Pat Thomas, A.W. Luckett, Judd Bailey, and Joan Richardson attended a workshop by the Titusville Citizens Action Committee on May 7th regarding the development of the land behind Spring Valley. The committee urged the group to attend the May 23rd City Council meeting and speak against the plan which calls for changes to the conservation land use designation and zoning changes.

At the council meeting, the committee is planning a display of photographs showing endangered species that inhabit the area. If you have photographs that would be of interest to the group, please contact Joan Richardson at 269-3972 or Kathleen Burson at 385-2615.

NEIGHBORHOOD LOSSES

We are all saddened by the recent deaths of Dolores Woodrum's mother, Margaret and long-time resident Don Hillock.
