Kevin Shufelt's Digital Photography Hi, my name is Kevin Shufelt. I moved to Titusville when I was transferred to work at Kennedy Space Center in 1986. Iāve lived here since and have no plans to move elsewhere.
It wasnāt until a few years ago, when I started to canoe and hike in the area, that I paid any attention to the natural scenery around me. As I spent more time hiking, and the price of digital cameras was coming down, I decided to try photography. My first camera was a 2 megapixel RCA which wasnāt good for much more than snapshots, but did help me decide to up-grade cameras and continue with photography. In the past couple of years Iāve upgraded to a 3 megapixel Minolta, a 5 megapixel Minolta, and recently to a Canon Digital Rebel. This move from a one piece camera to a single lens reflex type has been a learning experience, but has let me get action shots than I was previously unable to get.
In the years Iāve been hiking and canoeing in Central Florida, Iāve found the Titusville area to be surrounded with many excellent location for photography. I hope to get further afield in the coming years and see more of Floridaās natural areas before they disappear. I like nothing more than strapping on my photo backpack and hiking where it seems I can see nothing but miles of sky and land. Maybe someday Iāll see you out there.
