Company Background
Nix Pest Management was founded in 1972 by Terry Nix. The office is located in Titusville, Florida, which is on the Space Coast. In the first years of business, the clients were primarily from Titusville. From there, Nix Pest Management has grown and expanded our services into Cocoa, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Melbourne and Palm Bay. To this date, Terry still has an active role with the clients-almost 27 years later. The business is still family owned and operated-giving you the personalized service you deserve.Our Clients are very important to us. We train our technicians with the most up-to-date pest control techniques. This means environmentally safe products that have little to no odor and the use of baits. This makes our services safe for families and pets. We also train our technicians to value and satisfy the clients. Are all methods of pest control are created equal?
No. There are different companies, different treatment procedures, as well as, do-it-yourself pest control. Each Professional Pest Control company must be certified by the Department of Agriculture. Each Certified Operator then must keep current his or her license with Continuing Education Units. Pest control companies who do not hold a license or certification by the State are operating illegally and may not be concerned with your well being when applying pesticides.Specific insects, even different species, such as carpenter ants versus pharaoh ants are not treated the same. If you treat these insects with an over the counter spray, for instance, you may scatter the colony throughout your home rather than killing them. A Professional Pest Control Technician will have the proper knowledge when treating these pests.
Do-it-yourself pest control can be beneficial to a homeowner if applied properly and if the proper chemical is selected for the specific problem. All pesticides purchased must be used according to the individual label. Injury may result when not applied or mixed properly.
